To get rid of plantar warts, wart is injected with Lidocaine to anesthetize it. Infected area is then cut leaving behind the scar.
Cryosurgery or Freezing with Nitrogen:
In this method the doctors freeze the growth of planter wart. And this frozen is done by applying Liquid nitrogen directly to it. This procedure requires Lidocaine injection to the area insensitive and this treatment is acutely throbbing.
Usage of Salicylic Acid and Nitric Acid:
Salicylic or nitric acid solution may be applied for several weeks to get rid of plantar warts. Extreme burning, scarring and enlargement of wart tissue are most oftenly seen. This is only 30% effective in curing warts. [1]
Getting rid of plantar warts is a burdensome and painful process yet with the medical advancements the possibility of cure has been increased dramatically.
