Plantar Warts on feet

Plantar warts on feet are small injuries that occur on the sole of the foot and usually look like a cauliflower. Plantar warts on feet derive its name from Latin word ‘planta pedis’, which means the sole of the foot. Generally, it occurs by a virus namely human papilloma virus (HPV). This virus normally seeps in the skin through petite cuts and scratches on the foot. In this lesion, the heel of a person begins to pain. Usually, the pain is not acute at first, but is fairly constant. It will hurt only when some weight is put on the heel.
It appears as a raised round growth on the foot with a rough and flat surface. [1] Plantar warts on feet are more frequent in children than adults. The roots or seeds, which emerge on the feet during the wart, are basically small bundles of the wart just below the top layer of the skin. Wet and sweaty feet are more prone to infection by the wart virus. When exposed in these types of situations, the expansion of the wart is more common, but they are not highly infectious.
Indicators of Plantar Warts on feet:

  • Feet’s soles are equipped with small and rough bumps
  • The growths are hard and flat with a rough surface on the feet’s sole
  • Bumps which occur on the feet disrupts the normal lines in the feet’s skin

Causes of Plantar warts on feet:
Plantar warts on feet are acquired through direct or indirect touch with the human papillomavirus. This virus isn't highly infectious, but it usually expands in warm and moist atmosphere like, for instance, in storerooms and swimming areas. [1] Thus, the virus may seep into the foot by walking barefoot in these types of public places causing plantar warts on feet.
HPV is a communicable virus, which passes from person to person. It may reach to other places by either touching or the contaminated foot through a person tormenting from plantar warts on feet. Plantar warts on feet cannot develop in every person who comes in contact with HPV as the immune system of each person responds to warts in a different way. These are some of the main causes of plantar warts on feet, which if paid heed, can help in the cure.
